Chilli's....

Last night Degz and I had a night out without the boys, our first this year and probably a lot longer than that come to think of it.

We went to the Stadium of Light to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and they were just totally awesome.

I'm so glad I took today off work though as I was so tired I closed my eyes for five minutes at 10 0'clock and woke up at 12...... oooops, maybe I'm getting to old for this !

Torch...

So the torch finally reached Sunderland on June 16th and thankfully the rain which had been absolutely bucketing down for the few days prior actually eased off for a short while. Luckily we didn't have far to go to see it as it went right passed the end of our street.

Not a lot else has been happening here I'm afraid although I have sort of got my knitting mojo back so hopefully will be able to show you what I've been up to shortly .

Only four and a half weeks until the Summer holidays start!!

Twit Twoo,,,,

You know when there is always something you've wanted to do or see but you're always in the wrong place at the wrong time?
Well one thing I've always wanted to do is to see owls in the wild. I've often seen them at displays but never one in an actual tree or flying... until now that is.
A couple of weeks ago I'd been wandering around the park when I saw a family of Jays. That night I told my friend, who likes photography, that he should go and take some photo's. The next day he came back and said he hadn't managed to get the Jays but he had got the owls!!!!
Owls.... owls..... where, what, owls in my park....... oh yes indeedy..... owls in my park. Notice the plural not one, not two but three owls, a mammy and two babies to be exact.
So the next day after dropping the boys at school I went straight there and spent an hour and a half looking for them and finally with the help of two lady dog walkers we spotted them. The mammy and one baby hiding right in the thickest part of the trees. I tell you I didn't stop smiling all day.
