All the pupils were told that they had to dress up as Royalty and if they couldn't manage that they at least had to wear a crown. Lots of people have gone out and bought specific fancy dress outfits of knights, royal guards and princesses. Personally I didn't see the need , it's not as if a guards outfit would really get worn again, well not in this house anyway.
So I bought a couple of masks and crowns off a website which just happened to have free delivery and used outfits we already have so the boys could go as a casual Prince William and a soldier Prince Harry. Personally I think for £4 they look rather spiffing don't you?
They're adorable -- what a fun idea! My sister used to call my two boys the two princes -- they were born around the same time, my oldest sort of looked like William when he was little, and they have the same sorts of personalities -- the older, more stable one and the younger wild one. Now it's your turn LOL!
ReplyDeleteah they look great, well done!

Oh my goodness. This is the best picture in the world!! I love it, adorable!! Sorry you had to go through some crap, and glad you're still blogging. I was gone from it for months and I missed it... and didn't at the same time. Have a great time at the Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert! Sounds like a blast! x
ReplyDeleteThey are fantastic (but just a little scary!) I bet the boys had a great time watching people's reactions! Four pounds well spent! x
ReplyDeleteHi just found your lovely blog looks like they will have lots of fun.
ReplyDeleteThey certainly look royal to me. You are lucky I could never get Lucas to dress up as anything.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely and very royalistic : )

Love the look of the new blog lady, keep writing xx
ReplyDeleteThey look great! Luckily we only had to do red, white & blue at the boys school, I am all for the kids having fun but we often get a couple of days notice to dress the kids in costume for some odd occasion, it's become a kind of joke with the mums. Just back-reading your posts, I tried to comment ages ago when you were having a really rough time (sometimes blogger doesn't let me :( I must be in the wrong gang (wordpress) - lol) glad you sound happier and I hope it continues that way. Beth (the linen cat)xx
